Scam recording saying you are being sued by the IRS. Tells you to call 470-344-1279. Don't fall for it, the IRS doesn't operate this way.
Contacted me in reply to Craigslist ad in Denver, Colorado selling used baby gear. Wanted me to email them via a given email address, and asked for price of item, etc. which was clearly in the ad. Didn't know the name of the item they were supposedly interested in, only the category. SCAM!
AUTOMATED CALLER. LEFT A VOICEMAIL SAYING THE IRS IS FILING A FORMAL LAWSUIT AGAINST ME. LOOKING FOR ANSWERS BUT ASSUME ITS A SCAM.
Got a phone call. When I said that the person they were asking for was not in and if I could take a message, the guy immediately hung up. I called back and a young sounding woman answered. She did not identify the company, and I told her what happened. She apologized and I told her never to call again!
