They said they were from Microsoft calling to say that our computers have been invaded. he spoke poor English. Was very persistent. Made me nervous
Identified himself as Sgt Jim Gaskin of Chelan County Sheriff Office advising I had a federal warrant on me for missing federal court jury duty. I asked several questions that he couldn't answer correctly. I called local dispatch and they advised it was a scam and had received several calls the past few weeks.
Said my social security number would be “suspend” (sic) if I didn’t press 1. This was an automated robot voice on voicemail.
Caller text me and left me a message that a business was trying to contact me but misspelled the company's name.
scam insurance # that uses fake caller id!
This company calls itself Charity Clothing Pickup. So far they have used 14 different phone numbers to try and get thru to me. You either have very high overhead to have this many phone numbers or you are a big time scam. I vote for SCAM. I have blocked all their numbers, but I suspect they will come up with more
