I keep getting local calls like this from numbers that have the same prefix as mine. Same thing for my wife's phone number. If I call back it's always a guy answering sounding like someone from the Indian subcontinent or maybe Pakistan. They play dumb so I don't know what to say but I keep getting more calls.
Indian callers with thick accent claiming they are from the us government trying to give you a “grant for education”. They asked If we had electronics at home and would send a “check in the mail no need to give information out”

Call at least 3-4 times a day, never leaves a message. As I block one number they switch to another with the same area code and exchange, and different last 4 numbers. This is annoying as I am at work.
