Automated call threatening legal action without identifying calling party. Demands immediate callback. High likelihood of fraud, IMHO.
Call received in Canada. Claimed I owed $299.99 on something left unspecified. Gave me the option to press 1 to stop payment (I was listening to this as a voice message by then). The day before, I had a similar call from a local number here in town, also with no current scam history.
Number is being used to orchestrate grant fund scam. They ask you questions like you would answer to open a credit card or bank account. Then they want you to send them $$$ and they will give you a grant equaling 100 times the amount to give them...
Scam pretending to be CRA.
Caller left voice mail that an arrest warrant was issued for me. Call came in from New Jersey & I reside in a state far away.
