Claim to be the "crime investigation unit" for the IRS. It is bull. Called and threatened me. I reported them to the IRS. When I called them back to tell them so, he called me a nasty name and hung up on me. Loud call center, heavy accent. If you are from the IRS, buddy, I am the Queen of England.
Left msg. on my phone: This is Linda from the Office of the Inspector General of Social Security Administration, calling to let you know that your SS number has been suspended. Please contact us, blah, blah, blah... These people don't even know who I am, much less what my social security number is. SCAMMERS.
Scam. Do not pick up.
I answered and a message said the SSA was after me. I pressed 1 and when she answered she asked how she could help me. When I said "you called me" she promptly hung up.
