I have received a number of calls. MSG went " hello, this is George". Then something about medicare. Then Dial tone. It happens often enough that it really ticks me off.
Missed call, left no message.
They just called and a man stated that he was with the internal revenue service and that I owed $2,700 in back taxes and that the police would be coming to get me if I did not transfer that money within 24 hours. These people need to be in jail. I knew it was a scam, but imagine how many elderly people would fall for this.

Call appears to be on a dialing engine linked to a call center. Speaker is human with thick pashtu accent, speaking colonial-sounding english. Repeatedly says "hello?" until third time he is asked who he is, then hangs up.
