Trying to say they are from the Ellen DeGeneres show. Says he is an agent for the Ellen DeGeneres Fan Grant. Then asks for all kinds of information to claim your prize. Conversation started on Facebook messenger & then went to text messages. This a big scam if you ask me!! I am a HUGE fan of Ellen's & I never heard of such a thing!!
The lady called me and asked me why I called her- I advised I have never called this number, she got irate -I just hung up.
I get many calls from the 818 area code and never answer because they're all scam calls. I don't live on the West Coast but my cell number is 818. If it's someone I know the name will appear, or if it's legitimate they leave a voice mail.
I tried calling the number back about 30 minutes after I missed the call and a recording came on saying, "This number is not a valid number". Curious...
